It doesn't really matter. I prefer EPBL, crafto prefers EZD and we're both about the same speed.

I see, thank you, I will most likely use EPBL then, as the average move count is lower. And so this would simply be ECE then correct? Since I'm not using the EZD subset? Or would it be considered SSC-ECE? Sorry for the weirdly specific question, I'd like to be able to provide the method name accurately if I'm ever asked about it.

I think generally the method as a whole is usually refered to as SSC though SSC and ECE ae more or less completely interchangeable. If you want to get really technical, ECE is if you don't orient edges in first step and SSC is whereally you do.
