Not much really.
It is halfway hot during the day. I wear cooler clothes, but then that makes me mosquito bait, so enjoying Alaska is nearly impossible unless you are away from the brush.

I try to wear cooler clothes too, but at work I have to wear the uniform you see in the photo, and it's not cooler. It sucks, bro. The mosquitoes bite me here at night too, but they probably aren't as big as they are there.
Well, that's too bad. FTO is also a good category, but they shouldn't remove Clock.

When you are bit, I find that smacking them makes it swell worse.
It squeezes whatever "poison" they use to ease the bite (the itchy stuff) into you even more.

To relieve the itching, I use ammonia. Put it in a small spray bottle, like the ones used for perfume. Spray a little bit on the area and leave it on. Ammonia doesn't smell very good, but it's effective.

I pinch the area. It relieves the itch for a while, but it comes back after 5 minutes or so

Well, if you can, try the ammonia method, or else rubbing alcohol—that helps a little, too.
