Most people recommend wiping all of it out. I like to clean the lube out at the same time as lubing the springs so that I have a good clean slate to work with.
I don’t see adding lube on top of factory lube as a bad thing in the short term, but you will have to wipe out the lube at some point when the lube dries out and your cube gets gross. So it depends.
