Around late march, 2020. I bit before lockdown, I showing a family at the mall my ability to solve a cube, the guy called me a Rubik's Cube Master (still remember that random guy tysm), and then a few days after the big lockdown started I learnt beginner OLL and PLL. I think I knew some before that, but I learnt all of it then. I believe I glow-balled around 33-34.

I was right around 40 seconds when I learned 2-look OLL and PLL, so the 36-40 range fits my experience too.

For anyone reading this who's just finished the beginner method and wondering what comes next, the order that worked for me was:

1. Intuitive F2L first. It's the biggest chunk of the solve, and getting comfortable pairing pieces up without a guide is worth more than any last-layer algs at this stage.
2. Then 2-look OLL and 2-look PLL — only about 16 algs between them, and they replace the beginner last layer entirely.
3. After that, full PLL, and full OLL last, a few algs at a time.

The main thing is not to rush into learning algs while F2L still feels shaky. The algs made the end of my solves tidier, but the time really started dropping once F2L clicked.
