Weekly progress check-in (Sunday 25 October 2026)

What did you work on this week? One line is enough: event, current average, what you practised, one goal for next week.

Beginners and people coming back after a break are the point of this thread, not an exception to it. If you keep a progression thread, link it so people can follow along, and if someone's goal matches yours, say so: it is easier to practise F2L look-ahead when two people are doing it.

Worked on intuitive L4E for Pyraminx, put the LBL mod in my Gan skewb

Haven’t practiced as much since my last comp, I currently average 11 seconds on 3x3 and I’m planning to improve my Lookahead and solutions

Finally started practicing seriously, after a few months. Gotta derust on 3x3 tho😮‍💨
Hopefully I can attend this new comp they announced in my area, reg opens tomorrow.

Anyway, if I'm up for it, I'll be putting more achievements here:

Mostly studying for my only exam of the entire year. Other than that I've simply been doing enough 7x7 solves to maintain my skill for Oceanics in December, though interestingly, I'm improving faster than before by doing this; I just got my first sub-2:40 mo3 and I'm approaching my first sub 2:50 ao100 (currently ~2:51).

I have had a bit more time recently so I have been trying to get back to enjoying more events beyond just blind
  1. I signed up for my first competition since 2016 in New Providence NJ. I am also probably going to sign up for one in King of Prussia once the registration opens
  2. I have been trying to figure out the best PLL algs for me since I have forgotten ~6 of them over the past few years. Currently averaging around 17 seconds and hoping to be under 15 before the competition
  3. Re-learning skewb and clock
