Like the title describes, I haven't been into cubing news for quite a while, so there's some new stuff that I might not know. Anyone cares to answer:
1. New 3x3 single? Yusheng Du? Who's that?
2. Speedsolving metas are still cfop, zz and roux?
3. Any new notable alg (sub)sets (3x3) in the past...
As someone who just got into squan recently (avg sub 1), I would like to ask a few questions:
1.Is inconstancy due to recog time and cs?
2. How I improve cs? (maining the star first method)
3. Should I go for cp/ep or double parity?(edit: it's double pll)
If the algs are fingertricky and reasonably long (I prefer them to be short) and one more corner isn't going to affect my cross much then you'll have my support!
Turning style comes with time, I was using one of those cubes they sold in market places which had non-existent corner cutting but was still able to adjust to a gans sm (using gts2 m now).
From a 20-second, ex-zz, cfop solver:
I don't see how zz and cfop are that different but I've noticed that for f2l, zz has (slightly) harder to execute f2l cases (talking about last pair here) that cfop has, such as the case which both corner and edge are connected and the colors facing up are...
Yup, tried it on wuque and gts2.
Had some problems (cos partly I'm new) and it's strong enough (as long as you don't drop another mag on an existing one and remove the stray one). It dries quick but needs a lot more (around a drop with a diameter of 3mm). It's so quick drying that I can...
