    [Help Thread] FMC Discussion

Does it work though? Let me know if I'm missing something, but it seems like the centers are still scrambled at the end. As far as I know, with indistinguishable centers you can't easily use NISS without weird things happening. Regardless, it's exciting to see more people interested in moving...

Pinwheel LL: A Cursed (but surprisingly decent) 2LLL

Pinwheel LL Algs Pinwheel CLL (43 algs) permutes the corners into a pinwheel shape with diagonal CP while doing R U R' F' to the F2L. Pinwheel ELL (24 algs) solves the cube from the pinwheel + R U R' F' state. Background I was inspired by the possibility of a 67 alg 2LLL (CLL+flip FR, ELL+flip...

Movecount Coefficient Calculator: Online Tool To Evaluate The Speed Of 3x3 Algorithms

Everything on my website is open source! You can find the MCC code here: https://github.com/trangium/trangium.github.io/tree/master/MovecountCoefficient. Actually, the MCC has had some updates! R' U' R U R B' R2 U R U R' U' R B is no longer ranked as better than the standard.

The New Method / Substep / Concept Idea Thread

I have a way to force either twisty TTLL or normal PLL with the same algorithm count and quality as forcing normal TTLL. The only drawback is recognition, but the quality of Twisty TTLL makes up for it.

Void Swap: A Unique Beginner 3BLD Method

If you want to use the standard y-perm based alg, you need a UB-UL swap for parity. So, if UB is your buffer, then adding the letter D would work.

I have a 53-move 4x4 FMC solve. Note that the method used is quite advanced, so the solution is probably not understandable for beginners.

The Batch Solver - Generate large algorithm sets automatically!

    1) Your prune is too high. Try 5 for Prune and 6 for Search. This will generate algs up to length 11 (because 5+6=11), and it won't crash your computer. 2) Your current scramble generates WV, because <R U R' U R U2 R', U> basically says "do any OLL" then R U' R' U2 says "take out the pair". To...

2x2 Statistics and Method Comparison | HD-G Now Competitive!!

I generated the algs for NLL when the bottom V is missing UBR (so normal NLL reflected across F/B). It might be easier to recognize the D layer permutation this way. They can be found here.

I don't think you can always cancel into making the V though. For example, scramble the cube with F2 U' F2 U' F2 R. No matter which direction of R you choose to solve CO, you won't have a V.

NLL only includes the cases where there's a V on the bottom layer. Wouldn't that increase the movecount or alg count?

The Batch Solver - Generate large algorithm sets automatically!

I created official documentation of all features of the batch solver. (I actually made it a while ago, but I figured I should post it here.) If you're curious about a more advanced or recent feature not covered in the tutorial, this is where to look. I've added quite a few features since the...

The Batch Solver - Generate large algorithm sets automatically!

To indicate that the orientation of pieces don't matter, place "1: " at the start of the line. To indicate that the permutation of pieces don't matter, surround them with curly braces. The pieces in the E layer are FR, BR, BL, FL. Putting this together, in unique orientations and equivalences...

HARCS (JARCS Replacement) - Cube Solver

What was JARCS's functionality? I might* be able to create something like it, using the batch solver's code. *Don't count on it though
