I have an old (maybe around 2011, but don't quote me on that) Dayan Zhanchi. I might have one unassembled too somewhere, but not sure.

Isn't this question a bit silly if you don't require the PR to be in an event you still practise or care about? Like, my PR for Square-1 is from 2007, but this is only because I haven't touched the puzzle since then.

This is purely personal preference! I want to be able to cube with one hand without having a table, for example. This is unrelated to whether it's actually good. :) Thank you for your reply! It contains a lot of things I was still wondering about. I'll ask some questions, if that's okay...

Thank you! This is very helpful. <3

I think I'll stick to CFOP, then. This kind of tip is very useful, as I would not consider doing something like that spontaneously. I checked J-perm's very, very old video about how to get faster at OH, and it contained some tricks like this. Do you know of better/newer/more videos like that...

I have actually never done 4LLL for two-handed because I knew Petrus when starting CFOP and had full PLL already. Would your 4LLL be roughly the same as J-perm's guide for two-handed 4LLL? Obviously with different execution and OH algs when necessary, but I mean conceptually. That would mean...

I want to learn OH and would like advice regarding which method to use and where to learn fingertricks for important algs. Right now, I can solve the cube one-handed in about a minute using normal CFOP and a ludicrous 8-look LL (one-handed, I only know two OLL algs, then T-perm and U-perm, so...

Oh, yes. I started learning Mandarin 18 years ago, and I work mostly with teaching the language or creating learning materials and resources for learners. You can check out the website I linked to (Hacking Chinese) if you're interested!

This thread is probably on-topic, but as I'm not sure in which forum it fits, I'll post it here to be safe. This is about cubes, but not speedcubing as such. I found this quite interesting and thought some of you might as well! Last year, I set myself a small challenge that became more...

I'm looking for a good smart cube! I've tried a fair number of dumb cubes in recent years, and my favourites are, in rough order of preference: GuHong Pro, Tornado V3, RS3M V5 BC, MGC3 Beta. I like all these cubes. I have also tried some cubes I didn't like, such as GAN 356 M and WeiLong WR M...

20 years and still going strong!

Exeggutor, obviously! ;) This is actually my image for this pair, and I'm not even that interested in Pokémon.

I watched the introduction to your video and I think this more or less exactly answers my question; thank you! I would also like to say that your video is pedagogical andwell-made, so I'll check out some of your other content too. Well done! The only thing I need to do now is to figure out...

Thank you all for the help, these all look very helpful!

Is there any good guide for swapping edges/wings on bigger cubes? I assume this is possible with commutators, but I've never been good at those, not even on 3x3. For example, imagine a 5x5 in the current state (the edge facing away on the left is orange/green; everything else is solved)...
