Hi guys, I'm Stavros from Greece and relatively new in Speedcubing. I'm currently solving the 3x3 cube and just bought a 4x4 cube... My times are kind of bad, especially at the 4x4. Personal record in 3x3: 35.32sec, but I average at about 52 usually... I'm using f2l pairs and 3 look LL... What should I look to learn later on?

Glad to find you here guys.........:D

Why does Stavros from Greece sound so familiar? Did I ever meet you, or is Stavros such a common name in Greece that I met one during a vacation?
Also, when you are already using 3 look LL you shouldn't be considered a beginner anymore. Normally you would progress with OLL, Edge-control, COLL, multi-slotting and/or experimenting with other methods and puzzles

No, I have not met you, but Stavros is not so common here in Greece. It must have been a coincidence....

I now want to build up my times in f2l and later on I'll move to learning all OLL's. Can you advice me to what method should I move on after fridrich??

Hi neighbor! :D
To improve, you just practice! (the most boring method, I know)

Just keep practicing F2L, and you'll get better. Just try to find fewest-moves solutions for F2L, and then try to do it with minimized thinking times. Try to track down the next CE-pair while finishing another one. You can also use a metronome if you like, it will make your solution more smooth-looking, and when going slow, you actually get faster. Remember that it's not the execution, but the recognition. If you want, you can try a method that's not necessarily faster, but atleast more fun, such as Roux, Heise, Petrus or ZZ.

I just found out Stavros is a place/island I passed when I was on a sailing vacation in Greece. Sorry for the confusion :o
