Sup SS forums!

Im here to interact with fellow cubers, learn new things, share something that i know, and have a good time! Ive been cubing for almost a month, and i average around ~40 sec. So far, i know beginner method, F2L, 2Look OLL, 2Look PLL, and a few more PLL cases. Right now, im in the middle of nowhere because im waiting for my speedcube to be delivered, and also i cannot decide wether to stick with Fridrich or move to Roux. I must say that i really find myself in Roux and i absolutely love when i get a nice solve with it, its much more intuitive and you feel like actualy you are doing something, not just the algorithms.

However tho, untill my cube arrives, ill practice both and ill decide what to go with. Ill use this thread as an update thread.

Hopefully we can have a great time here, see you around!

Welcome! You will definitely enjoy cubing more once you get a speedcube. The forums are really fun!

welcome!!

I am new here too and have only been cubing for a few weeks. I have started learning the Roux method myself and find it enjoyable as well.

What kind of cube did you order?

Welcome to you too then!

I ordered a YJ ChiLong for 8$ with free shipping to my country (Macedonia), it should arrive in a few days!(but i've been waiting for less than a month tho) Excited.

What about you, what cube do you use? Do you know the beginner method, some of Fridrich or you went straight in to Roux? Btw my suggestion to you is to learn the Sune algorhitm that is needed for orienting the corners, and learn the Niklas algorhitm for permuting the corners. Try solving it on your own, experiment with the M slices and see what move does what, it will really help you. I learned the basics in one day without really any trouble, but a plus for me was knowing a few algorhitms for orienting the last edges.

I must say Roux is a really fun method, still cant decide what to do tho.

Thanks for the welcome!! :D
I am currently using a Dayan GuHong... I have been using it for hours everyday and last weekend when I cleaned it and re-lubed it, it is just amazing now. I love the feel of it.

I quickly transitioned from the beginner's method to CFOP for a few weeks and now have shifted to Roux. Deedub has an awesome set of videos for using Roux as a beginner's method that really helped me. I am going to be learning all of the CMLL algorithms though, because I like memorizing algorithms a lot and I don't want to orient and permutate the corners seperately.

I do like the organic feel of the last handful of steps in Roux and how intuitive it can feel. So it is a bit of memorizing and a bit of developing an instinct and that is nice.

There are so many methods to try I am sure you will find one that feels the most natural to you. From what I can tell everyone can get to sub20 on any method with enough practice.

You started with a nice cube, thats a plus. My no-name cube just broke after ~3-4 weeks of using it, it was about time. Now i dont even have a cube untill the one i ordered arrives!

Yeah actually i learned from Deedub's video too. He covered it really nicely. If i decide to stick with Roux ill definitely learn CMLL also. Im just sorry i didnt try Roux earlier, but its never too late. Id like to see your progress Lady, just keep up the work.

Thank you all for the welcomes!!

A step in between learning full CMLL and my beginner CMLL is 2-Look CMLL, which is 9 Algorithms.

Good post to me!

I am new here too and have only been cubing for a few weeks. and i found it interesting and also give me fun.come on with all my friends.

Just checked, and i saw that the package with the cube arrived in the country! Im happy. Im hoping to pick it up before the weekend.

Also, i did no practice this 2 days because my "cube" finally broke, this made me even more excited.

Got my second or third sub 30 solve! But im still far from average of 30. I also ordered an stickerless Zhanchi, it should come in a month or so.

Im going trough hell this 2 weeks, harsh time. I barely did 30 solves alone this week. On my fourteenth solve yesterday, i got 27.30 with an OLL skip. Atleast my F2L recog is getting better.

Best average of 12: 31.55
32.43 (38.54) 32.45 32.34 (23.05) 30.20 31.20 28.88 32.61 27.70 35.22 32.46

Slowly getting better, not even doing 50 solves a day. What do you think bout the progress? When i joined 2 weeks ago i was averaging 45s :)

I never get any love on this forum about the updates, maybe i should stop posting them so frequently.
