"Not doing OLL/PLL"
Of course. Of the best 3 (or 4 if you really want to include Petrus) methods, Roux is the only one to not finish with the final layer being on U. Kir is also a Roux user. However, there are other methods that don't use OLL/PLL, and as the question asked was a way of avoiding G perms, the obvious answer was to not do something involving PLL. Roux is just one of these methods.I guess Roux method with CMLL ?
(H perm stuff) I hate all CPLLs.
SIMPLE SOLUTION:
Everyone thinks that they get lots and lots of G-perms because of negativity bias.
If you start liking G-perms, they will vanish.
I don't see how that could possibly qualify as "sarcasm".
But AUF doesn't change the case, so it's still a CPLLIf you take out the U2, it magically becomes a EPLL. And if you hate EPLLs, add U2 and it becomes a CPLL! Magic!
True. I now feel like I get fewer G perms. Although I still use half 2-look OLL and know quite a few COLLs, so I do force EPLLs more often than I used to. Either way, I hate Ga/Gb more and it feels like I get more of them than Gc/Gd.If you start liking G-perms, they will vanish.
I Am Not Going To even learn g-perms.
Yeah... don't, that's stupid. They're the most common PLLs. Look through every website you can find and look for good ones. You have algdb.net, the wiki, and so many cubers have their own website. I avoided learning them, even though they were my slowest PLLs after the others were 1-look. When I finally learned them, my average dropped by almost a second. 1-look is much faster than 2-look PLL, especially when you have the right algs. Not learning them is the worst thing you can do.I Am Not Going To even learn g-perms.
Almost a quarter of solves ends in G perm. Learn to love them.I Am Not Going To even learn g-perms.
2 look PLL will never be faster than even a bad 1-look alg.

Assuming you use R' U' R y R2 u R' U R U' R u' R2, you should find L' U' L y' R2 u R' U R U' R u' R2 easy to learn.Also anyone have a good G(b) alg with headlights to the right. I can't find one that feels good and I am not smart enough on the cube yet to figure one out.
I get it!!1 I love G perms every other solve and I love locking up while solving.
*waits for these things to never happen again* =P
Seriously though, I don't mind G perms and I am learning algs from a y2 position of the algs I know. It just seemed like I was getting them all the time. I thought maybe the way I was solving was somewhat influencing me to get G-perms more often than most.
From reading everyones posts, it sounds like I should be mastering G perms then I should start looking into OLLCP if I want.
Also anyone have a good G(b) alg with headlights to the right. I can't find one that feels good and I am not smart enough on the cube yet to figure one out.
Poor conclusion: please reconsider this statement![]()
