From the UK, been cubing since about October. 3x3x3 PB is 55 (UPDATE: 45) seconds. I use CFOP with 4LLL, not color-neutral. I use a black Gans III (v2 I think) and white DaYan Zhanchi v5. My 2x2x2 PB is 16 seconds. LBL with 2LLL, somewhat color-neutral. Stickerless WitTwo with small core. I can get to 3 layers on the 4x4, it's a PUZL stickerless.

Anyone else around my "level"?

Yay more UK cubers. Try to be colour neutral on everything, it's easier if you start earlier. You've only been cubing for a few months so it should be easy for you. Remember that you can't use stickerless cubes in competitions, so if you want to go to one (you probably won't now, but you will in the future).

For 2x2, learn Ortega. There are many tutorials on the internet, so look around and try to find good algs. Ortega has very few algs to learn and can be very fast. Colour neutrality is very easy with this method.
For 3x3, you may want to look at this thread for information on other fast methods. If you want to stay using CFOP, then you'll eventually want to start learning full PLL. PLL is also useful for ZZ, BLD etc. This thread is very good for other CFOP stuff. And as always, try to be colour neutral :)
For 4x4, learn reduction. It's a really simple method to learn; you don't need to know much more than solving a 3x3. It can be a little difficult at first, but it doesn't take long to get used to.

Welcome!

Welcome!

Do you know any popular UK YouCubers?

Although I've been cubing for not too long, I've crammed quite a lot of solving into that. I always look for white corner pieces in F2L and it seems hard to change.

I have a limited choice of cubes since I currently buy from PUZL, but I might get a non-stickerless 2x2 sometime from HKnowstore. I like the look of the Fangshi ShiShuang, but I'd need to do something about the tiled logo for competitions. I don't plan on doing any competition ATM, so I'm not really worried for now.

I've seen some things on Ortega and I think I might be faster with LBL. There's an Ortega guide on my WitTwo box, which I've been looking at.
I'll look at the 3x3 links. I've been wanting to try Roux but never remember to search for it.
I've tried some 4x4 videos but they all go too slow in some places and too fast in other. I can get up to first layer edges. Any recommendations?

Thanks for the help.

Welcome! As TDM said, try reduction for 4x4. You could probably figure out centers intuitively and edge pairing isn't hard. Then it's just the same as 3x3 except for two parity algs you'll need to learn. At least that way you can solve the whole thing!
