Hello! This is a thread for anything electronics related. You can ask questions, make recommendations, anything that you see fit for electronics. Even apps will work too. Please no 'Android vs Apple' nonsense, though.

Apple products aren't superior to anything else, but they are extremely overpriced.

I play nazi zombies, which unfortunately affiliates me with the COD croud.

Nice. Me too. But I do play multi too. It's not all that bad with ghosts, except for the large as hell maps.

I just got the Nexus 7 (2013) today and am using it to type this. It seems faster than my brother's iPad Mini.

You should root it and install some roms. There are so many awesome ones.

*noob alert* What does rooting do, and what are Roms?

Rooting is for people who for good reasons want more control over their device, and for kids who have nothing better to do.

Funny how I fall under both of those categories.

lol me too. I'm typing from a linux box, BTW.

And being in the first category is why neither of you two just randomly told someone " You should root it and install some roms. There are so many awesome ones." for no good reason.

For the Nexus 7, I would wait. There aren't many Kit Kat roms out yet. Rooting should be more than enough until the mod community "catches up" with the newest iteration.

Honestly, I don't trust myself with editing software, because I'm perfectly fine with my tablet how it is.
