Quick 4x4 question

Really quick, if I'm lining up the edge pairs and there are only 2 left and both are on the same face, but not directly across from each other, what do I do? I'll probably feel stupid when I know the answer, but it's not jumping out at me and the video I'm using only showed what to do if they are across from each other. Thanks in advance.

Hi, if you use an E slice to pair them then do this

x U R' U' L

this will make them directly across from each other so you can do the thing in picture 2, I think that's what you were asking anyway

I think this is what I was talking about but I can't test it now because I figured it out myself just moving stuff around. If I come across it again I'll use this and see if it works. Thanks.

edit, okay I figured out how to do it it's: R U' B y' and then I can do the swap move (D* R F' U R' F D*)

I'm not sure if we were on the same page on this one, but problem solved anyway =]
