Fangshi Shuang Ren help?

Okay, so I finally got my Shuang Ren and I immediately opened it and began to put it together. Right now I'm tensioning it, but it is extremely difficult! I can barely turn the screws. As a matter of fact, I can't even put some of them in any more, they're all the way into the core. I put it together and it is super loose and pops a lot. Did I get a defective cube or is there something I did wrong? Any recommendations?

What are the signs of a stripped core? I know I don't have any springs missing.

Probably. Where did you buy it from? You can probably wheedle a replacement out of them without being too dishonest lol.

Great... I bought it from hknowstore. I waited a long time to get it too. Dang it. Oh well. Guess I'll have to shoot them an email if I can't figure out how to take out the screws and attempt to redo what I did wrong.
