I have been cuber 1 month and I see some sucsess... Avarage(10/12) 39sec and single cube 28sec after 1 month...I would like to speed up my decreasing time and never stop...Im cubing 6-13 hours per every day and Im still wordering how good I can be!? All this sucsessafter 1 month is worth of learning things under...I think I cant learn fast fingertrick in 1 month but I would like to drop my time down as fast as possible or even at the same speed than ealier... So here are the things I heav learned...

Beginners method, Keyhole method, positing corner under theplaced edge
without taking te edge out of its position, F2L mainly and speedy(Cant do
special cases which needs algs and I can see after bit view what slot should
be filled next...)(And dont have trained special F2L last slot combined last
layer edge orientation =306= ALGS xD ), Edges orient, corners orient, all PLL!

So this is the question...What I should do next to get my goals for next month?

Here are my goals:
1 month and 1 week record 27sec Avarage 36sec (3 days to go)
1 month and 2 week record 23sec Avarage 32sec
1 month and 3 week record 21sec Avarage 29sec
1 month and 4 week record 19sec Avarage 26sec
Then month is gone!

I'm not there yet, but I think going from 36 seconds to 26 seconds in a month is pretty unrealistic...

We will see...I will post my progress here...! But can some1 help me? Somehow?

Well, I would say that too, but I'd also say that getting down to a 39 second average after just one month was pretty unrealistic, but Cyber has done it. And maybe it's not all that impossible if you're cubing 6 to 13 hours per day every day...

I just had a 28.5 average of 100. I'll be pretty happy if I can get to a 26 second average of 100 in one month. I think that will make a nice goal for me for the next month. Yeah.

He got sub 20 in less than 3 months. He lives in Australia, so he had school since like March or something. He still has school now. He says he practice half an hour on the week days and 2+ hours on the weekends (something like that.) Plus he's good at other puzzles (39 avg OH, 5 avg 2x2, 1:25 avg 4x4). Serioulsy, you can't get from 36 seconds to 26 seconds in a month? I got from 35 avg to 25 avg in 1.5 months, and I practiced like an hour a day then. This guys says he practices 6-13 hours........ I would say one month is definitely possible.

And Cyber you're not very specific so I'm not exactly sure what you talk about.
If you haven't already, learn intuitive F2L. Practice it A LOT and soon you will see your times get faster (might take a few days).
I think you know 2 Look OLL and full PLL so just practice the algorithms.
For solving the cross, solve it on the bottom of the cube.

THX about confidence and sry about "bad" lanquage! My keyboard dont work well all the time and I shoudn´t use so many "..." ! It pieces my thougth as "," in finish lanuesge. Im just so customed to use it cause it is natural in finish language... Also I dont got so huge vocabulary(Dont know words which mean same example) and it makes harder to express myself.

Yeah I know stuff what "Fan" is saying and Im working with those. And of course the cross is on the bottom! So u think I dont have anything else to learn? Just training skills I already have?

What kind of was ur way, where ever u are now?

Hi, yeah thats me, lol.

well i was averaging 25 before this summer (june-ish)
and after summer, which i ve only been cubing for the first 2 months, i am getting sub 17 now...
i think you can do better than me

How tot get fast as fast as it possible? And should ppl learn all OLL and PLL algs and some special case F2L algs before trying to get extreme speed fingertricks? Still Im wondering should I just keep on training or should I learn some algs? I posted before all that I can do already Look up ^_^ Im trying to reach u! Even U started earlier! Im interested in ur progress how it goes...Can u post some "timetables"! Im wondering some where I can see avarage after 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 months and even more...till today! I will post my avarages which I reach here so u can supervision my improve and give me some hints maybe... I will make also video after I get camera :P I would like to be at least sub 20 in 3months so all advices are good and feel free to post to this Thread all that!

can de... u are so fast!. im sub 30... 2months of prac. although im not as fast as you but its possible with all the olls and plls algos.. haha. took me 2 weeks to break through to sub 30 hard....!

Cyber, you're hardcore man. 36 average a month after your first solve, that's insane. I've been trying hard, but my best average is about 49 (it's slower now as I'm learning intuitive f2l)

can I ask if you're thumbs or hands ache at all? 6-13 hours a day is a lot of cubing, that's more than a full time job. I did a lot of cubing in my first week and my left thumb has suffered ever since. I should really quit for a week or so. It hurts when I wake up and it's sometimes painful doing a U' with the left index.

Hey, join the club :) I got a 39 second average of 12, exactly one month after I started cubing as well. Obviously I ditched LBL and keyhole quickly, opting for cramming full Fridrich. Still, at that time I knew about 70% of the PLLs and a lot of my F2L was unoptimised.

If you continue cubing that much (6 to 13 hours daily is insane -- you sure about that figure?) you just might make sub-20 in two months, which is also insane. The only cuber I know of who has done that is probably Yu Nakajima himself. Although you may find it's not worth the reward? It depends how much you invest psychologically into chasing this goal.

I kept up almost the same pace in my second month of cubing as in the first month, but I couldn't achieve sub-20. I was around sub-25 in two months. After three months, I think I was inconsistently getting sub-20 averages. Scratch that, I was still mostly above the 20 second mark. It takes a lot longer than you think, as early progress is very fast, but the rate of return decreases exponentially with time.

//EDIT: Now it's been roughly 5 months and 3 weeks of cubing, and I'm still at about an 18 sec. average at the moment.

Thank u all, kinda ppl! ^^ So I was cubing one month...then my avarage was 39... and single 28.20 exactly! That wasn´t 36sec...read carefully cookingfat :P Just spending time to learn alg and for cubing... Around 30/70! More for cubing obviously! yeah that was problem at first...My hands were on fire! But I just continue till it goes away... Now I cant feel it anymore but I think it was mostly with my right index finger! THE FASTEST TURNS with me!No worries with thumps...I started carefully and not so fast tuirns...then get harder! Just dont uit and pain will let u...but dont coplete too much...!

One good hint for storebought cube... I was cubing with my first cube with no lubrication first 3weeks and a couple of days... It makes cube cuts corners really good way... Then I lubed it and that way it become really smooth. Lube main purpose is make a good cube even better so dont lube it too fast! AND IT WAS WORTH IT, REALLY!

Yeah I really joined 39sec club after exact 1 month :0 Guoguodi? U are using 2 LLL ? Or some other? And yeah Im gonna continue cubing that fast :P Nah, no way to stop me :P Im just gonna do it fast and with all It will pay xD 18sec avarage is kinda good still :D Im gonna point to it! THX for those progress times... 1 month 39sec :P

Anyway Im getting better! My progress now...Im trying that 36sec avarage after 1month and a week! I got 3 days still to go and I already got BETTER AVARAGE THAN NEVER BEFORE! So I already reach my goal... 3 days earlier than it should be! Here are times: 35.69, (44.53), 33.39, 42.86, 32.56, 33.72, 38.48, 34.19, 31.05, 40.97, (30.56), 39.33 and the avarage was 36.22sec :D I love this speedy improve :D But 3 days time to got my single cube to 27sec :D I need to take one sec off to my old record :0 I will post my times immediately after I get sub 36sec avarage or single cube 27sec!

Ok give me some hint then to get better after things I have learned! Could u be so nice?

IMO to get faster you have to get slower. No, seriously.

You improve fast because you practice a LOT, there's no denying this. But what have you been practicing? Have you been practicing good habits or bad ones? It's very possible to sub-25 with loads of bad habits, but I wouldn't say the same about sub-20, at least this was the case for me.

To get to sub-20 fast you need to start killing bad habits now before it's too late and they're too ingrained in your muscle memory. Stuff like excessive cube rotations, doing U3's and U4's, doing U then U' repeatedly, mostly stuff that wastes moves and time, kill them. And you need to start practicing good habits, like smooth execution (minimizing locks is very important), minimal regrip (learn more fingertricks like RUR'U), learn to utilize your left hand a lot, learn how to do every F2L case from multiple angles, learn how to slot pairs into every slot (not just FR), and loads of other stuff that takes time to learn. Algorithms are one of the last things that you should be learning - get your foundation right first. All the good habits can only be practiced when you're going VERY slow and being conscious of your every move, spend a few seconds thinking about the best way to insert each F2L pair when you spot them, think about which is easier to slot in when you spot multiple pairs simultaneously, don't just find the most familiar way to do it - it's most probably not the most efficient way. Once your familiar with doing all these slowly, your fingers will speed up naturally.

In short, get the good stuff into your muscle memory, not the bad stuff.

I'm not assuming anything about you, just sharing my own experience and what I've seen in others. Yep, hope you give it some thought. If you've been practicing no bad habits then just continue, you'd be sub-20 in less than a month at the rate you're practicing :)

I really enjoy watching your progress Cyber.. I would also like to cube that much, but I don't have time for that.. I'm cubing like 20 minutes average a day...
