Intermediate-advanced Pyraminx techniques

I was wondering if there are any advanced pyraminx techniques out there. i currently use this solution, which is quite nice. I was wondering if anybody has devised a faster method using a collection of algs or something

I get my best solves when I "just see" the entire solution

What I do is get the bottom layer, or the layer with 9 triangles on it. After that I do one of 5 cases, kind of like PLL on a cube. I currently average 12 seconds with this method.

There is a way to solve the pyraminx without any algorithms.
Just solve one face, then disregard what happens to it, solve another side and it should solve itself(if unlucky you may need to solve one more side){unlikely though}.
