How much money do people win for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in WCA competitions.

Sorry *win
I meant to say win in the title and autocorrect corrected it as won't

Usually nothing.

The WCA doesn't decide prizes, the competition organisers do. Quite a few competitions have cubes as prizes, but cash prizes are generally reserved for big ones like Euro, US Nationals and World Championships.

Generally you can only expect to win substantial amounts of money at very large competitions such as US Nationals, Euro, or Worlds. But even then it's only a few thousand euros - maybe more if you can do well in several events - and of course you'll have to be one of the best in the world to have a chance at it. If you're thinking about making a career out of being really fast at solving cubes, it's not going to happen for quite some time.

Nothing or a very small amount, only worlds and large competition with a sponsor might have some big price money .
For the Czech Open 2013 my co-organizers arranged a staggering 50$ for the winner. Prices are arranged by the organizers not the WCA. The WCA have no instruction but in general WCA wants to get entry fees as low as possible, so every one can compete.
I arranged sponsors for the medals for all events, which I find more appealing
