I was a speed stacker a couple years ago, got my first cube around then, but didn't solve it, lost it. Got a different one in the mail yesterday, then spent about 7-8 hours trying to solve it using beginner's method. Now I'm hooked. :P

Bad introduction, but I look forward to talking to y'all!

Welcome! Weather for Monday and Tuesday was expected 70 as a high, it was in the mid-80s. Yesterday, it became cold and there were wild thunderstorms that came in the matter of seconds. It will be cold, dark, and rainy for a few days then it will be sunny (hopefully) for a week. Ah, the Garden State.

Welcome! What are the approximate times you're getting? (Considering that you've done it for only a day no one will laugh I promise :) )
And if you're using a rubik's brand you should get some kind of speedcube.
Well... good luck and have fun cubing!

*weather in California is quite nice, though it really shouldn't be summer in spring.

April showers bring May flowers, right?

Welcome! Funny how this intro thread has turned into a discussion about the weather. I don't think freezing rain and snow bring May flowers. That's what I think I am getting tomorrow.

Fastest solve was 3 minutes, but that was lucky.. approximate time is 8 minutes. *insert laughter here* :P

I have the "Dayan LuHui". :)

Lunhui is a good cube to start with. You'll get the hang of things soon. Right now, the key is just practice and before you know it, you'll be sub-1.

Weird, right? I hope it brings May flowers, or that saying will not be true... *GASP*

I've read good things about it, the cube feels hard to turn but my lube should arrive in the mail next week. (CRC silicone spray) I'll keep practicing, this is just so much fun. :)

yesterday, I had to walk back and forth across campus in the pouring rain. After my last class, it was sunny and the skies were clear as if nothing happened.

but yea, a lunhui is pretty good, I hear.

Get some Traxxas while you're at it. :D

...weather seems to be completely weird for everyone...

It's actually quite nice, not comparing to anything else.

Too late, I'd have to order it again and honestly I'm kinda lazy... will the CRC work for now?
