I did this scramble a few times more (read ~30) and got a 9.90

If the cross is done with U2 L R2 it's just a normal solve, so it's just the little lucky things that makes a good/fast solve.

Makes you wonder how these guys do averages of 8 seconds huh? If you need to repeat a LL skip solve 30 times to get a sub 10 solve LOL..

"What if I had stickered it with the good stickers. Would my recognition be better so I would have gotten a better average?"

I use half brights on my cubes. Every now and then when I get a new Dayan I leave the original stickers on them for a while. When I solve color neutral I find that the pale color of original stickers give me good solves. Solving on white only I have bad times with original stickers. Oh, nice Ao5!
