Black plastic. I started doing the full pi mod to it, and the last step is to put in pins so that the adjustable core stays in alignment, but I never got around to putting in the pins.

Would I have to finish the mod in order for the cube to be usable? I guess pi would have a tutorial on it, I just have no knowledge of any v-cube mod.
