If you're left-handed, U' is supposed to be much easier than U, right? Not just because of finger movement, but also because of locking-up and regripping issues, imo.
So why do people do Z perms with a U at the start and the end (you know which case I'm talking about, the one where the F and R edges have to be swapped), when you can obviously also do it with a U' at the start and end? I mean, even with the index finger "push-pull" fingertrick (the UR' at the start), isn't U'R' still faster because you don't have to waste time going back for the following U' move? (Consider U'R'U'R vs UR'U'R.)
And ending with a U sucks, I hate it when it locks up and it turns into a B', then you spend 3 seconds aligning and doing that annoying U just to realize, after you've stopped your timer, that just leaving it alone and getting a +2 would be more worthwhile.
So, why
