Thought of this the day of the unofficial competition, BooBoo Not-So-Summer Unofficial 2012/2013.

You need 2 people and 2 cubes. The cubes are scrambled differently.

- Once the timer is started, each person solves the cross
- Switch cubes and each person solves the first F2L pair on the other person's cube
- Keep doing this, the steps go as follows: cross, F2L 1, F2L 2, F2l 3, F2L 4, OLL, PLL

Non CFOP users can use their own steps if they wish.

Has this been done before?

I didn't create the name "factory", other people have done the original factory solving which is this except with one cube.

Err, I researched a bit, and came across this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdCCkjyjRE8, @4:52, it's pretty similar, except they use 4 people. I did that at Nationals too with some people, but I think only 2 people with 2 cubes is kinda new I guess. Oh well.

We do this a lot in Nantes when we organize meetups (not really recently but we have done this since at least a year regularly). And not only with 2 people btw. Although, I can't remember what's our best time...

I've done this a lot. The biggest issue is when you get a skip and the whole thing gets messed up. I've only done it with 3 or more people though (and 1 cube per person)

Yeah, what's the procedure when something like that happens? Like if someone does an x-cross or gets a PLL skip?

Then you just hold the cube and don't do anything.
