[Unofficial] [Alex Mertz] 2:37.36 3x3 Blindsolve

Any tips? My memo is around 1:15. I'm using M2/OP, letter pair images for edges, and audio for corners.

Not particularly lucky, but I've been pushing my memo and only reviewing edges once after I've memo'd them the first time, then no more. I've also been trying to turn faster. Most of my solves now are under 3 minutes, and I still get around the same number of successes, so that's cool. My PB is 2:10 now (weekly comp #2) so this isn't that close to it.

Nice job! I use the same memo and execution method. I think your execution needs to be faster, I can get get sub 50, even sub 45 consistently. To improve that, I just can think of turning faster. I also suggest not reviewing your edges at all, except for maybe the very first letter pair. This might be hard to get used to, but when I started to do this, I suddenly became sub 2. Good luck!

Random question: For some reason, I thought your WCA profile said "Jim Mertens" (I think I spelled the last name wrong) before. Am I completely imagining something, or did your name change?

Alright, I'll try that with the edge memo and see how it goes... My turn speed is so slow :fp

Okay, thanks. I thought I remembered clicking on Ickathu's WCA profile here, and it brought me to his page, with that picture, but the same said Jim Mertens. I guess I got the names confused.
