Do you glimpse at the timer during a solve?

Do you look at the timer when your timing? I have a habit of glimpsing at the timer when I finish OLL.

I find that especially in competitions, looking at the timer is detrimental. I do better without knowing the time until I finish.

more often then not I dont look at the timer (on occassion after a really good F2L im excited and look to see what my time is looking like so far) and I always feel guilty when I do cause I fell the end time could of been faster if I didnt take that small glance at the timer.

For bld, I do to see memo length.
I also sometimes do between steps in 4x4 to get a general breakdown of how long each step takes.

no, imo it just makes your overall time worse because of that split second of you not focusing on the cube

I used to, but I use the timer setting that doesn't update so that I don't. It's one of the features that I wish IItimer had.
