my movecount in a regular speedsolve tends to be around 60 aswell. i just dont see the great blocks and xeolines when rushing through a solve :/

yeah, we need the scrambles :)

And also put the scrambles with the reconstructions please. That makes it easier for us to use the reconstructions.

I'll do the reconstruction (if I can) after dinner.

Muahahahaha. I got the reconstruction.

EDIT2: I beat brest. (but I don't know if he was trying to reconstruct it. He'd definitely beat me if we were timing it. Your blocks were nearly impossible with that angle.)

Oh, weirdest (but awesome!) z-perm ever.

I'll do the reconstruction (if I can) after dinner.

Fixed it. Is that good? And yeah, I know my movecount could be better. I can do xeolines, but not really in a speedsolve. I have no idea how mDipalma does it. I do slow solves to practice look ahead some, I guess I'll just have to do more.

the best way to approach xeoline is to develop "LIS" (lazy inspection syndrome), and just plan out eo+line_edge_separation during inspection

that way you can make use of easy pair/blocks that youd otherwise throw away in the last 3 moves of eoline (the R,L,D part)

Your EOL are always fast and optimal. Bravo.

First, you must know that you are faster than me, but if I may help :

I almost always start with the left block. I look for the 2 corners and 3 edges before I move.

Solve #1
After EOL, the RB pair is in a perfect waiting position.
You may build the RF pair with U2 R2 !

Solve #2
After EOL, you missed this easy left block :
L2 U' R U L2 R U' R' U2 L' (+10)
after which there was an easy right block :
R2 U2 R' U' R' U2 R2 U' R' (+9)
or U' R2 U2 R' U' R' U2 R U R U2' R' (+12) with phasing.

Solve #3
There was a nice left block :
R' L2 U R' U R U2 L2 U' L' (+10)
then an easy right block :
R' U R' U R' U2 R2 U R U' R' (+11)
or R' U R' U R' U2 R2 U R U R' U' R U' R' (+15) with phasing.

Solve #4
Not easy. I think I would have done this:
L F' U' F' L D : (6) your EOL
R' U L' U R U2 L : (+7) LF pair
U' R' U2 R2 U R : (+6) RF pair (too obvious)
U L U L' : (+4) LB pair (still obvious)
U R' U R U2 R' U R : (+8) RB pair (who doesn't do that?) = 31 for F2L
(R U' L' U R' U' L) U' (R U' L' U R' U' L) : ZZLL : Niklas U' Niklas (good to know)

Nice EOLine!
Your movecount doesn't seem that bad to me, but you may try building the blocks together to improve it (I mean: build a square, then you see an easy square on the other block, so you do it, etc...).
Do you other ZZ guys solve always one block first and then the other?

i do it just like you said, always the fastest blocks, no matter if they belong R or L.
Doing OH, i focus a bit more on ergonomics and if i can solve an entire 1x2x3 2gen, i do that even if its more moves.

@ mDiPalma - i think thats what i (try to) do, but im not exactly sure. can you give us a few examples?

i actually try to preserve built pairs all the time on eoline, and when i orient edges i chose F or F' (same for B) so i sort as many edges to the L or R face where they belong as i can.

Thanks for the tips everyone.

Sometimes I do that, right now I'm at the point where it is like 1 in every 20 solves. Once I get better lookahead I'll probably do that more often.

i think most of us usually "multi-block" by habit.

but i suppose the most ergonomic alternative would be:
1) eoline
2) place 2 DR corners in DFR/DRB while isolating the left block pieces to U and L face
3) z rotation and solve left block with <RU>
4) porkynator's <RUD> "niklas" to solve corner permutation
5) z' rotation and solve right block with <RU>
6) 2gll

@ mDiPalma - i think thats what i (try to) do, but im not exactly sure. can you give us a few examples?

1. D' B2 L2 B R F' L B F2 L D F L2 D2 U F' R U' R' D' B' F2 L2 D U'

x2
Ultra Advanced UVALine Version 2.0: F D' L' B' U' L D (6+1=7)

1 move can preserve a pair and make for a much easier right block

2. U D' F' B L F R2 F B' D' L2 F D R2 F' L B L' B' U' F2 L2 B2 U' B2

x2
MehLine: D R L2 F [R/R'] D2 (5+1=6)

again, 1 move can preserve a pair

im sure there are similar examples in solves 3-5.
