I've been cubing for a month with a store bought cube (My prepaid isnt working so i cant get guhong)
I do:
Cross (6-12)
Intuitive F2L (20-30)
Last Layer Cross (3-4)
Orientation of cross (2 Look OLL)(3)
Orientation of corners (7-14)
Fixing the corners (7-15)

I was wondering if there is any way to speed up my time. Such as getting different algs, I would have learned 2 Look OLL but Its to much for me to handle. The main reason my cross takes to long is I dont like to use the inspection time.

Try solving the cross on bottom instead of top. Then, I think you should learn full 2-look PLL. And as always, just practice F2L.

How is your look-ahead during F2L? If your like me, you tend to put in pairs fast, and then look like this: O____o for a few seconds. Going slower can improve your F2L times. Not slow-motion slow, but not faster than the fastest speed you can look ahead at. And I'd say learn PLL first, it's easier. 2Look doesn't require more than six algs, none of them are particularly hard, and you propably already know some of them. As for the OLL, try at least not to be 4Looking, but 2 or 3Look. It is a bunch of algs yes, but if you pick one or two algs a day and drill them, you will learn them all without noticing ^^ It will feel awesome when you pass the Sub-1 minute barrier. Which I bet you can do very soon.

For F2l, after im done the cross i probably stare at the cube for a couple seconds, and i do that for all the corners. I am terrible on tracking. Thanks for the suggestions. Im gonna work on looking ahead, for the f2l. (:

Train F2L and get 2look OLL (cases of the cross) and PLL. What cube do you use?

rubik brand one

If you do plan to get serious with speed cubing, I highly recommend a speed cube. Check my signature for some resources. Getting a speed cube as soon as possible will prevent the bad finger trick habits that you develop when you use Rubik's brand cubes.

agreed
and if ur prepaid or whatever isnt working, then u can always look at the buy/sell/trade part of the forum here.
many people sell cubes that they dont want anymore and accept check or cash

Protip: you never have to rotate the cube to insert the corners - they can all be solved using R, U and L.

It's quite fun to start a little blockbuilding at your kind of speed and it's a good exercise to get comfortable with how the cube works - try and join one of the corners up to one of your cross pieces while solving the cross.

Also: R2 U2 R U2 R2 and R2 U2 R' U2 R2

They work to solve an edge in UR as long as you have dont have one edges on the R side solved, try and work out exactly what it does when you have a solved cube.

You should learn 2-look OLL and 2-look PLL. After that, get a speedcube. After getting used to your new cube, learn intuitive F2L from badmephisto. All that should take around 2 months. That's how long it took me.

EDIT: Didn't read your first post properly; you already do intuitive F2L.

Like alot of others have said before here work on 4LLL do 2LPLL first then 2LOLL. Pick one or two algs a day and just repeat over and over while looking at them on screen. Then look away from screen go as far as you know and then look back and finish alg repeat untill you can do full alg without looking(takes from 10-30 minutes to learn depending on alg and how it fits you) while your learning your alg find the way to make it flow nicely and memorize it from muscle memory not letter memory. You will be sub 1 min average after this (as long as your can recognize the cases and excute them at about the same speed as the algs you already know). And for your F2L dont do a quick like R U R' burst for the insert take it slow cause you know the moves your doing and while your doing them look at the other pieces and try to spot your next pair to plug in. At first slowing down may seem to be the dumbest thing ever. But when I first tried it after my 3rd solve I beat my PB by 3 seconds (from 40.72 to 37.89) Good luck and happy cubing!
