Dayan+Mf8?

Can you all explain to me whats the deal with Dayan and Mf8. Like are they realy one company or 2 individual companys. Correct me if im wrong Mf8 came first with there sq1/ssq1/megaminxs then in 2009 Dayan came out with the Tayan 3x3.

I have know clue...I think by know everyone knows that Maru 4x4 is the best, but all the world records are getting achieved with the Dayan+mf8 4x4. It may be that the Maru only lasts for about 6 months, then it's back to the internet in search of another 4x4. Price may also be a factor of the Dayan+mf8 4x4. Basically the 2 companies teamed up to produce the puzzle. They are independent normally, but for some things, eg. the crazy planet cubes. Dayan had the idea and Mf8 made the mechanism (iirc)
