Mod for YJ 5x5? Mine's popping!

Have you tried adjusting the tension, if it has tension.

If you are not a speedcuber, try slowing down.

If you are a speed cuber, mod-tighten it (shorten the centre itself).

Just thought I would give background info on the Mini YJ 5x5:

It has a V-Cube mechanism, so expect the V-Cube company to go after them.
It is SUPER small, smaller than a Rubik's 4x4.
And not too slow: nice and speedy.

it also happened to my YJ. It is a very nice cube (cool stickers too), but after long time of use, it pops a lot.
adjusting the tension is the best solution to that. It works, I already tried that.
and I don't think that there is a mod for it.

btw, consider buying a shengshou 5x5x5, it is cheap and better than YJs.

Thom sanded the X centres to stop them catching and poping.
The sharpe edge that runs down the outside edge of the piece.

I know this is not exactly the response you are looking for, but really, the V5 is not that great. The corner stocks require modding and then the tensions are hit and miss. Some are extremely stiff and take ages to lossen up (My main is probably 1000 solves in and is still very tight). Some are very nice straight away and die relativey quickly unless you are willing to make the core adjustable (my old one was fantastic after 50 solves and after 200 needed replacing).

I know this is not exactly the solution you are looking for, but turn more accurately. Calm your turning and you won't pop, simple as that. It's not like you have any reason to be turning fast.
