so hello, i have been looking at this forums for a few hours and i thought i would finally join to get involved (and also because the stuff is pretty interesting and i'd like to try and contribute and learn from it! n3n) so here is my first post!

I am 17 years old, you can call me meows on this website or meow or anything that you like is nice. Things I enjoy are baking, anime, mmorpgs, and recently... cubing!

I have been cubing for around one week, my friend from anime club at school showed me and I thought I would like to learn... so far I am down to 55 seconds.. not very good I know.... all of you are so talented, please teach me!! TT_TT~! After reading for a while online (Thank you so much Google!!) I decided to use the method of Roux because I find this is the coolest I think... its difficult but I think I can master it soon, though I'd like to try others.. I used to start 'colour neutral' so I begin with any block, I don't know why you would limit yourself he he ^_^;

So hello and I hope I learn a lot from this website, I'm still so baka with this darn thing... aughh.
What do you think I can do to improve my time? Are there any helpful pages I can view, please direct me. Thank you!!!

Hey meows,
Good luck with your cubing endeavors!
Where about are you?

55 seconds in a week is really good; keep it up!

Hello and thank you so much good luck with you too!!!!!
:3 ummmm yes I don't really like to say but maybe once I know you guys better I guess you'll find out.

I suppose it is but I see people with 5 seconds and its amazing.. I hope to be this good -3-

Hello and welcome to the forum, meows.

I use Roux as my main and average 12-13 seconds (sub-12 on a good day :3).

I actually used the wiki page for [WIKI]Roux [/WIKI]to find out how it worked myself at first, but when I decided (on the same day, lol) that I wanted to get faster, I used Waffle's Roux Tutorial as well as this page (which I found incredibly helpful).

Happy cubing, and good luck!

Edit: Damn ninjas. :p

Editx2:
Hello!! and O.M.G i love this site very much it is one I used to learn, does this person use posts here?... the waffles are so cute!

Yes, Waffo is a fairly well-known and relatively famous cuber. He does make posts on here now and again.

Hello and thank you!!!!... wow that is amazing I hope to get as quickly as you soon. It has taken a whole week to get at my current best however so I am not certain how long it will take..

Oh goodness I feel so honoured to have learned from his page if he is important~ I was hoping to find other pages on this website to improve as well but I will try harder with my current method and hopefully results will improve.. >.<

Oh by the way, the user 5BLD uses Roux, and after 7 months of cubing, he averages like 12-13 seconds.
His website is http://5bld.webs.com/.

(Sorry, I am probably annoying you with Roux posts).

You should also go to competitions if you have some free time.

Off-topic:
I've used Roux for ~2 months now and average about the same (maybe a bit slower). In total, I've been cubing around 6 months. It's really not that huge. Some people just improve faster than others. No big deal.
Also, I'm sure that site's outdated, but just of note: 35 seconds is faaaaaaaaaar from being the fastest Heise solver. :p

That being said, I don't have a website.
...Or a camera.

Or maybe Roux users improve quickly because you really only need to lower movecount since you don't need high TPS to be sub 10.
