I'm new here, and I just want to know how many people here use CF for speedcubing. I used full Fridrich up until about 2 months ago (19.90 second average of 10 solves), but I am starting to use CF (a variation on the Waterman method), and I know only about 1/4 of the algorithms. Taking this into consideration, I used to average 25 seconds (until my 3x3 broke) and I had a single solve of 15.20 seconds. So who here uses CF and is fairly successful with it.

Good to see you got an account somewhere! Whenever I use Waterman (still learning), I usually get in the 30s. I don't know all CLL though, so I can definitely speed it up.

Darn...
1) 1 face- 12 sec.
2) remaining edges- 5/8 seconds (us. 2 algs)
3) solve 3 redges- 8/14 sec. (don't know all sequences)
4) solve last redge+orient midges- 2 seconds
5) permute midges- 2 seconds.

Many elder (40+) cubers are using CF, at least here in Sweden. Those I know who has compeated are Anders Larsson, Lennart Aspelin, Lars Örström (also his son but he does not cube anymore), Per O. Beijar and also Mats Luthman but he does not speedsolve in competitons, he only do BLD (using cycles, not CF =)

CF can be very fast (i.e. Waterman) but almost nobody uses it. It's already been proven, though.

"very fast" is subjective; many people say stuff like sub-15 now... in which no one with CF has averaged before.

But in BLD, does he do corners, then edges? :)

There is another guy out there you didn't mention. He is an elder cuber and has been to a competition in Sweden. He also has a daughter that uses CF. He is on this forum, but I just can't remember his name......It's on the tip of my tongue......I give up.

Intresting question, if he does corners-edges then it is CF :)

But I don't know...
