OK. Well making a poll kind of failed.
So.. How do you guys do MU fingertricks. Just curious...

I mainly do left ring for M' right index for M (or Lw L') and left ring-middle for M2.
Edit: and both indexes for Us.

On a more serious note, I use my left ring finger for M' as well as M, and then my left ring and middle (sometimes pinky as well) fingers for M2. For U I use my right index, U' left index, and for U2, either left or right index and middle fingers depending on the situation.

Working on it... Thanks a lot..

As I see it the best way is to solve the three faces next to each other (ie Yellow Orange Green) rather than in a line (ie Yellow Orange White). This forces a bunch of pieces to get solved and results in 3 cases to fix the faces. Then it's like L3E or somethin'.

After you solve three faces, the only possible permutations are two edges switched per face.
 
Yeah... The problem is that in order to get three adjacent faces you need three adjacent layers. Except for a few swaps.
May as well do three adjacent layers... Also the move restrictions given by solving two adjacent layers is pretty annoying.

Good point. I just tried doing whatever it takes.
It's kinda hard but yeah you do get some sort of L3E thing.

Edit: it comes to a point where there are so many restrictions only commutators can be used...
