irontwig, what method do you use for fmc?
anyone knows?
scramble:
B F' U B' D2 U2 R L2 B U2 L2 B U R2 D2 B2 D' B L D2 F2 B2 U F D
my first attempts with heise..
solve:
zx D L' R' U' R U' F' U´ (8)
D2 z2 R2 B2 R' B (5)
U' B U (3)
B U R' U' (4)
y2 U L' U' L U' L F' L' F U2 F U2 F' U' F' (15)
L' B' L F2 L' B L (7)
R U' L' U R' U' L U (8)
R' F R' B2 R F' R' B2 R2 F2 (10)
Why do you make a siamese there?
In typical Heise you would just do U' and leave the square in a 2x2x3 block
You now have 3 of 4 Heise squares with white as common color.
Next step would then be building the 4th square with white: R' B R' D' R' D
In your solve you build the 4th square
without white.
BUT thinking in FMC mode this can be a good thing!
With your approach:
U' B U (3)
B U R' U' (4)
you also have a F2L-slot, it just happens to be a pseudo one.
let's explore this one;-) in FMC style
First I will rewrite yor solution without cube rotations:
B D' U' F' U F' R' F (8)
B2 D2 L2 D' L (5)
B' L B (3)
L B D' B' (4)
now you have a pseudo F2l-1 slot (pseudo by L' move)
If we apply this move
before the scramble this solution gives a regular F2L-slot.
prescramble L' (+1)
B D' U' F' U F' R' F (8)
B2 D2 L2 D' L (5)
B' L B (3)
L B D' B' (4) 20+1 HTM
Let's try some EO and edge permutations:
D' B' D L B' L'
B L' B2 L B leaves 4 corners at 31+1 HTM
or
B D' B2 D
B2 L B L'
B D' B D B2 leaves 5 corners at 30+1 HTM (3 moves cancel)
or
B D' B R' B2 R D leaves 4 corners after 24+1 HTM (3 moves cancel)
The 4 corners are two pairs, this leaves options for different commutators.
L' F' L B' L' F L B doesn't leave a 8 mover finish for the last 3 corners but L' F' L B2 L' F L B2 does
D2 B U B' D2 B U' B' last 3 corners
L' corrects premove: DONE 41 HTM
May look for insertions later...
