Looking for Megaminx

Why buy a used on from someone when you could get a brand new one and do the quick mod your self. Kickflip1993 has a great video on how to make the mf8 megaminx turn great. After you do his mods lube it with shock oil and you'll have a great megaminx.

I don't understand the mod. The corner "stalk" is already pretty smooth. It asks you to round it off, yet it's a triangular shape. Does he just want a bit of rounding on the corners and sanding the overall corner stalk? Same with edges.

And how would I remove the molding imperfections, just sanding it away...?

Only sand away the imperfections and where the caps are raised. This makes it so much better. Also have it loose, mf8's tend to have good popping tolerance.

If you want me to, tomorrow after school(at like 4) I could post a video showing how a modded one turns.

His modding video shows how his turns, so I don't think that's needed.
 
You could also just buy a Meffert's.. I received a Meffert's saturday before Danish Open, I was finished modding it Wednessday (just pochmann mod and restickering, I was kind of lazy..) and it turned like a dream :)

I have a megaminx. Have had one for half a year. Multi megaminx BLD.

Thats scary. You should make a video because in my very brief search on youtube I only found one video that was from 2 years ago. What is your best blind megaminx time?

What he said. Even if mefferts is better, that doesnt make mf8 a bad cube, plus its also way cheaper.

I have had 1:00.69 avg12 with my mf8 megaminx, I never modded it, I only adjusted the tension, lubed it and broke it in. (back when I knew 30-40 PLLs lol)

EDIT: my point is: "why would you mod it? and is it vI or vII?"
