[WR] Sebastian Weyer 4x4 single 31.66

you can always read the moves backwards and do it that way.

That would take a lot more effort, though, because I'd have to pay more attention to exactly what's going on in the solve. With the scramble, I could try for a good guess at what's going on, and then just check that my cube matches the one in the video. To put it bluntly, without a scramble, I don't think I'd bother reconstructing a bigger puzzle like 4x4+ or Megaminx.

Someone should make a reconstruction tool... maybe I'll do this someday. Something where you can enter in stickers as you go, in case you can't figure out everything from the start, and which properly keeps track of moves. I've used Cube Explorer for this in the past (for 3x3 of course) and it's helped out a lot.

Maybe tomorrow I'll have some free time and can get the scramble (or at least the colors on each face.)

Why does everyone keep saying Feliks will break this at his next competition? It's not like it's easy for Feliks to get near sub30 times. And plus he hasn't been practicing 4x4 from what I've heard since he doubts he'll ever break his in-comp results.

I'll gladly eat my words if I turn out to be wrong.

Great solve, it even had a few pauses O_o.

Eat your words, Faz has been practising. But apparently he's not coming to Kubaroo, (if he did, he'd come at lunch time), and even though we offered to shuffle the schedule, he said he can't be bothered/has other things to do.

He said that about 5x5 and then he bet his time at MSO 2011.

"I've basically given up on 5x5, and OH, as I don't think I will be able to beat my official personal best's for a long time, if ever."

Why even bother? If you find a willing judge and if it is ok for the delegate, he can just do some events later when he has arrived.

That's what I thought.. but

We'll just swap 4x4 with BLD, and maybe run him through 3x3, depending on how the delegate decides to interpret it.

I know the rule but it is kind of sloppy and suffers from poor formulation (indeed I'm not really sure how it is actually meant). The whole weekend IS a time frame, so the regulation is basically always fulfilled.

The only thing which shouldn't be done is printing out results before everybody has competed.
