I have figured out a way to make cubetwist square-1's turn very well.

I'm curious what you mean by this. My cubetwist square-1s (I have 4 of them) all turned very well right out of the box - much better than any other square-1 I ever had, and better than most other puzzles - but I NEVER use them because they pop too easily. So I would be much more interested in a mod that makes cubetwist square-1s not pop.

It's true, they still have a buttload of pops, which is the major downfall of this puzzle. but my mod involves sand to make it simply turn better and smoother. if you pop a piece, you will see some dips and bumps on the part that touches the middle layer. I know this is confusing, but basically i sanded down all the bumps to reduce friction. also, if you look on the middle piece directly below the track, there is a bump running all the way around, and i sanded this too. all I did is reduce the friction. If you are going to nationals, then you can try mine if you want.
btw, you are beast for doing the square-1 BLD tut.
