ok so I'm averaging around the 20second mark and I'll hopefullly be going to my first comp before the end of the year i know full pll and 2 look olll with a few easy other oll's so my question is should i learn better algs for my pll or should i continue learing oll??

Better PLLs if your PLLs are over 2.7 ish seconds long (cept F/V/Na/Nb, those are exceptions)
If your PLLs are as fast or faster than that, then learn full OLL.

If you're going to a comp soon, it's much harder to use algs you just recently learned. I'd say just practice look ahead.

But if it's in a few months or something, I'd learn better PLLs.

Do both. But if you have to choose one, OLLs. Your plls will improve themselves. I don't bother learning new PLL algorithms.

I ended up learned at least 3 PLL's for each of the 21 PLL xD. I'd recommend OLL as most people tend to lag on those. You should of improved your PLL speed a bit after OLL(should take at least 1 month + to learn OLL if your average learner speed?) if your PLL are still slow, replace to slow ones.

The reason I say learn faster PLLs for yours that are slow is because there are 21 PLLs, less cases to run into than OLLs, so there is a greater chance you'll run into a specific PLL than OLL. As ArcticxWolf said, learn good alds for those 4 PLLs, then sure, go onto OLL.

I haven't seen that vid since before I learned PLL and I wish I would've learned some of his in the first place :/

I'm considering learning his Ns, I just learned the Ra, want to replace my old one. The double layer turns with the Gs are nice too. I can't believe he can do those As so fast with wrist turns on the R2 D2 :confused:

Give us the times of each of your 21 PLLs. You should be able to sub3 them. I guess it wouldn't hurt to include the algorithm you used. Please look up the two other PLL threads that just went on for pages each (least favourite PLL and PLL time gain or something like that).

Rowan's fastest PLL times for all of his PLLs are sub1.5, that's insanely quick and most of his algorithms are probably the same as yours (if you use the common ones anyhow).
