Cube Meetup In Dallas,TX

I will be hosting a cube meetup on August 8th from 1-4pm (may be longer). I need to know who may come so that I can have a better understanding of how many people may show up. The date may be moved back a week if it is more convenient for everyone who may attend, your feedback is much appreciated.

it will be held in a private room (conference room A)

1-4 p.m. (or longer)
August 15th, Sunday

I'd love to come to this, but that's a bad time during the day for me, at least. If you moved it later in the evening, like, 5 or 6 I'd be able to come.

Anyway, I'd expect Justin, William, Michael, and Brendon to go.

i might be able to have it run a little bit later and I know that justins probably going to come to it (i see him almost everyday)

didn't realize that nationals would still be going on at that point, maybe i should move it back a week

We just had a meetup today!

And one is being planned for next Saturday, the 7th. idk about a Sunday, and I probably won't be able to go if I just went to a meetup the day before, so idk... the 15th (14th?) would probably be better if we (the usual Dallas meetup cubers ) have one on the 7th.
You got a room already, are there others you already know are going?

It's not my decision, but you should probably move forward a week. That would be better for both meetups to happen (except Justin couldn't make one of the 15th, I'm sure).

EDIT: Oh Justin MIGHT, it's just that he gave the impression that he would be busy.

i guess that the competition will be moved to the 15th since it seems to be in the most convinent (no nationals and there wont be one right before it) how would this date work out?

My dad's (supposed to be, i forgot if it's confirmed or not) leaving on a business trip starting on the 16th (I don't know for sure yet) for China and so the day before will be pretty hectic, so [tl;dr] count me out.

hi, i'm new to the speedcubing community, i've only been cubing for about 2 months. i live in san marcos currently and have been looking for cubers in my "local" area (texas). i don't exactly know what goes on when you meet up as i'm still new to this, but i would love to come and join you guys if i could.

it would be great if you come and you would probably enjoy your time, it is basically going to be a room filled with a bunch of cubers with cubes cubing... how exciting

@ashmnafa, it is not down stairs, its right next to the stairs, so basically an immediate left turn when you walk in (or you could just follow the noise of cubes clicking )
