My yellow Diy from puzzleproz isn't good. I used the cubelube, but it last like an hour. I am kind of angry at my cube sometime because of this. And I heard that crc silicone is better (idk). The Rubik's cube that my cousin and friends have is much more looser, and they used that spray , althoug it have been more then a half year since they spraed it. Should I use the crc silcone on my yellow DIY?

"Average out of 12 (10): 16,77 sec. (non lucky)"
If your this good shouldnt you know how to take care of your cubes?
Just a thought...
I would lube it if I werent happy with it, maybe ajust the screws some?

If you saw the question, you would have know (I guess). I am very happy with the screw, the cube cuts corners well, but Should I use the spray or should I continue with the cubelube?. I am not happy with the cubelube, would it be much difference if I used the crc silicone?

Make sure that you aren't using too much cubelube. I found that if I over-lube my cube... it starts to get 'gummy'. It feels like things are starting to stick...

The tutorial for PuzzleProz on lubing is GREAT. Take out an edge, flip it so that the 'opening' is facing up, fill it 1/2 way (or a little less), and place your cube ONTO the lube-filled edge.

This ensures that you aren't squirting in tons of lube (with their shotgun style syringe), and it allows you to IMMEDIATELY start rotating the cube faces to get the lube worked in.

I usually lube my cube 30-45 minutes before I go to bed. I will work the lube in, and then set it on a paper towel, so that any 'excess' lube won't get all over, and the next morning my cube is perfect. Before I started doing this, I was lubing every 2 weeks, and I'm now at 1 month w/o needing to re-lube.

Make sure that you are cleaning it too. I was SHOCKED at how much crap there was inside my cube after ~2 months of use. I know that I'm not that fast... but I know that my 'slow times' are based on the need to practice proper technique, not limitations of my cube.

It's all opinion-related tbh. If you aren't happy with the current lube you're using, then go ahead and try different things. You may also want to consider 'breaking in' the cube, sanding down the pieces (only a little).

I personally don't think different lubes make that much of a difference. Hell, I use Silicone Dashboard cleaner! and that works perfect!

I've had good results with CRC; it turned a good cube into an awesome cube. Don't have much experience with the non-spray lubricants though.

I kind of don't find the answer why my Chinese yellow Diy isn't as good as others peoples.
