Hello cuber's :)

I just got cube like 2 weeks ago(3x3x) I was 3 days learning to solve it and after that I stopped cubing and now like 4 days ago I saw my friend with a cube and how he was good with it that I started to cubing again and haven't stopped since.

This is the method I use: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsQIoPyfQzM

I'm getting very good at this method, my best time is 1:45 minutes now and average is like 2 minutes, Is that good for being cubing in week of total?

And I'm thinking should I stick to this method trying to be quicker on it?(Can i be much quicker on this method?) or should I try some other now? If so what method should I try to learn?

I think I was at 2 min after a week of cubing, but really it depends on the individual so asking if that's good or not isn't helpful

You can definitely do better with the method but it's up to you when you want to switch.

Take a look at Petrus (block building intuitive non-algorithm heavy method) and Fridrich (look up intuitive F2L to get started with Fridrich, eventually the method requires you to have learnt 57 oll and 21 pll algorithms but you can average 30 sec with only 7 olls and 4 plls)

When i started i averaged 1:40

I would suggest to average around 1:10 then switch to intuitive fridrich i have a tutorial

www.youtube.com/aznboi1324

Even though you may seem slow Dont give up you WILL get faster

I started learning Fridrich method when I was sub 1 minute.

Actually I wanted to start earlier (sub 2 min. or something), but realized that I can get even faster with the beginner's method, so I waited a bit longer.

if you are able to do 1:45 to 2:00 with the method described in video
then you should be able to cut your times down quite dramatically just by
avoiding many unnecessary moves.
i.e. at around 3:50 of the video the move shown to place an edge to the first
layer could've been done with simple "R" instead of 3 unnecessary move.
then at 5:15 of the video to place a corner piece in to first layer from that
position should not take more than 4 moves (R F' R' F) or even just 3 moves
(F D F'), but the video guide shows 20 moves to get that piece in place !
that's quite unbelievable, this is first layer we are talking about.

so, remove those unnecessary first layer algorithms from your method and
you are likely to improve by 1 minute.

Lol, I really do not think ANYONE has really mastered their method unless you can do a sub-10 consistently
