It always puzzled me that when I started teamsolving in real life with other cubers, the general consensus was that communication is "not allowed".

The rational is that you can simply tell the other person the moves to perform if they don't know an algorithm. Won't this be slower than the other person knowing the algorithm anyway? It's not like it's giving any advantage in this respect. You can circumvent this by simply learning the same algorithms as your solving partner, anyway >_>

However, that doesn't apply to intuitive steps. I don't see a problem with helping someone who is stuck, however.

I think some leet shìt could happen if people could convey ideas to take advantage of in solves to each other. I think this is cool. Cooler than sitting in silence.

Also, CN Petrus is difficult without communication :P

So basically you are saying two minds is better than one et cetera.

Disagree. Getting stuck and having to deal with it without simply telling what to do is a big reason why this is so much fun! And like you say, people taking it seriously don't need it anyway.

The solve starting here wouldn't have been as cool if we could've communicated.

But there's no reason you can't use different rules if you want, it's an unofficial event anyway.

I'd rather have scenarios like "do you know this ZBLL?" "omg yes" "gogogo" than 'fun' situations involving U U' F' F R2 R2 etc.

Sure, it's just annoying when I hear people telling me that I'm doing it wrong. Non communicative teamsolving seems to be the default and the alternative isn't even accepted.
