It seems to me that not only the corners are sanded, but the edges and center pieces are also rounded.

Also, you would have to do this sanding process on every internal join for the cubie edge to appear rounded on each face.

I want one.

Anthony, when I look at the cube I got, it actually looks like an AV?

Then it probably is. Just like the competition Chester was at, some cubes were Haiyan-Memory Cubes and some were AVs. Don't worry, they can't be too bad. This "Jew" likes them too. lol.

OK, so looking at one of the cubes I have, the corners aren't round, but there isn't a 90 degree turn, instead, there's two 45 turns with a small edge. I'm wondering if this isn't an unprepared Haiyan-memory.

Some other cubes have tracks on the edges, and I'm not sure what they are.

anyway, if I was more of an expert, I could probably made sure what was what. But oh well, they're free cubes.

that first one would be an A5, so you are right, and the cubes with tracks on the cubies are either type A II, type A III, or taiyan cubes, because i believe those are the only ones with tracks

anyone who has an A V and wants it modded into something very simular to a haiyan memory (cant gaurentee that it will be exactly like a haiyan cube as haiyan is a master but im really good at it) pm me and we will talk about a price and I will do all the work and lube it with jigaloo or crc (your choice) however keep in mind it took me about 2-3 hours to do this to my own cube its a vast improvement. pm me if you want this done an i will get back to you. i will have your cube for a maximum of 3 days before i resend it out

OK, I just sanded down the inner corner edges on my A V, and it now doesn't click or lock up. Very very fast cube.

im guessing AV is the same as an Alpha Generation 5 cube? aka. unmodified Haiyan Memory?
also the same cube as found on cubehaiyan.com alpha cube (V)? 9:confused: :fp so many names = confused me

Why don't you search, use the One Answer Question Thread, or look through popbuying instead of asking in an old thread next time.

I prefer some other cubes. I'm pretty sloppy when i use haiyan .. Miss my $25 bucks..
