black or white vcube 5?

Hey everyone,

I'm finally going to buy a vcube 5. I don't know what colored cube to choose though as I am color neutral. What would you people get?

I hit white because Verdes' white cores are looser than their black cores. I personally did a hybrid. I used black cubies on a white core. It is AMAZING! I would highly recommend doing a hybrid.

Also, my white cubies on black core mod made the cube EXTREMELY tight. It is still the best 5x5, but it is very clicky. I did Pi mod both of them, though.

I had the opposite experience. My black v-cubes arrived looser than my white V-cubes. But I got mine more than a year ago, so things may be different. For what it's worth, my color recognition is best with stickers (or tiles) on black plastic.

Hmm, well I've had my black V-Cube 5 for 4 months now, & it has been at the perfect tension. I have heard black cubes get looser over time. But it's never happened to me. Of course, I won't be able to tell anymore since mine are adjustable now But my white V-Cube 6 got loose after about 6 months of having it.

I have tried the black/white hybrids and I didn't really see a difference. I'd personally go with black because I find the colors easier to distinguish on black plastic. I can't really comment on differences in break in time between the two because I have never broken in and worn out a white V5 (I sold it before I had the chance). I actually have a black set in on it's way right now.

I would go black, just don't do the Pi mod on it becuase them I will be too loose

In my opinion, white is better BUT you have to replace the black stickers with white stickers.
