Hey people,

I've heard that cubesmith stickers are a little bit too large for a F-II cube, and that they will peel more.

has anyone had that problem with the cubesmith tiles too or will tiles stay on the pieces like they do on any other cube?

,Boaz

This has been discussed a lot, and I'm pretty sure I remember a thread about it a few days ago.

Use the search function.

First thing that comes up when I search F2 stickers;

http://www.speedsolving.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20369

that thread is about stickers this thread is about tiles
i'm a lot of people, myself included would like some informaion about tiles on f-II cubes beforepossibly wasting mooney on them

Thanks for your endorsement, I am in the same situation as you.

I've got cubesmith tiles and stickers and I've ordered a F-II.

Is there anybody with cubesmith tiles on his/her F-II cube?

Phillip Espinoza has/had tiles on his F2. One of the tiles was peeling off and made it kind of hard for me to solve. This might have been completely unrelated to the F2 cubies though. They didn't seem to be way too big.

The tiles and stickers are both .625". Therefore if the stickers won't fit the tiles won't either.

I personally haven't tried it. I CAN tell you that .625" is too large for F1 and C2.

as already said above, I know they won't fit..

my question is: Will they stay

Why wouldn't they? The size of the tile doesnt effect how well it sticks. Unless I don't understand your question?

regular tiles and stickers work fine. However i would suggest getting 4x4 tiles/stickers.

btw that vid is me and my FII with cubesmith smooth tiles.

I have smooth tiles on my F-II (3x3x3) and they are fine. They overhang ever so slightly (barely), but they are fairly nice. If you want the best fit, you would have to cut them yourself or try 4x4...

indeed the size of the tile doesn't affect how well it sticks but if it is too big, it will peel easier.

So the size does effect how long it will stay on your cube, that was my question.

indeed.
Ive had to cut some of my corners off because they got bent.
But also because of carson dropping my cube >:O

they'll stick for the most part, just enjoy getting stabbed under the fingernails a lot.....at most they'll bend a bit, but they stay on pretty good

I have smooth tiles on my F-II, and since I don't use it a lot because a modded AV is obviously so much better, they look great and aren't peeling at all.
