C4Y brand Cube: Bumps on edge keep it from popping?

I've noticed on my C4Y brand cube, on once side of an edge, there is a little bump. It is on all edges.

It kind of feels like it is locking into place when putting the edge halfway in; so that the bump just goes over the edge below it (when twisted 45 degrees)

Does it help make it pop less?

I dont think so. I had them also and they made no difference to me. I sanded them off and it made the cube lock up just a tiny bit less.

I think it doesn't prevent pops, but it makes them less worse. Like instead of the edge flying out really far, It kinda catches and is like a small pop, It comes out but stays in it's spot

I do think the bumps were from the when the pieces were in the mold. It left a bit of "melted plastic" there. But, I do remeber when I frist go it, when it popped, it went flying and when I sanded it down, very few pops.

I would have to agree. With my experience of my C4U cube, while the cube can pop (rarely though) the pieces NEVER actually pop off the cube. The just raise up.

Hm... Should I sand the edges?

Can you show what you mean? I have no idea what you're talking about, and I just checked one of mine and didn't see anything like it.

On the edge peice, look at where the hole is. Run your finger overtop where the opening is (around it).
There is a small bump.

Now, Try putting the edge back slowly. Turn Up layer 45 degrees. Insert part of edge that's away from you first. Now push the front down slowly. You will feel (and kind of hear) it kind of click.

:)

Maybe he didn't put the caps in correctly and it's sticking out a little. Couldn't find these bumps on mine either.

No... read my post before

We entered our posts at the same time.

Does it matter?

How would i be able to see what you posted while i was typing mine up?

It doesn't matter at all. Did it help you or not?? No need to post something completely random

Checked again, still don't know what you mean. I do see some small imperfections from the way it was produced, but nothing like a bump that looks intentional.
