Well, when it is U-adj, I know which O perm to do to get adj-adj. I learnt O perm on bottom to do the same for adj-U, but my hands tend to want to do O perm on top instead due to muscle memory, as the algs are so similar.

Optimally?
Well, you can actually derive the optimal way to do all the shapes yourself. Consider all of the three move shape combinations (such as scallop-scallop, kite-scallop, square-shield and r paw-l paw are the most useful ones) and then try to reduce shapes down to these. Optimal cube shape is that anyway.
This is better IMO http://www.alchemistmatt.com/cube/square1list.html#61
this is pretty good. try to get OBL and CP down to 4 and 2 respectively. The algs are much easier to memorize than EPs.I failed my average at TOSp, the solves were:
39.96 48.06 1:01.08 21.52 32.52 = 40.18 (Parity 3/5)
New Breakdown:
Cube Shape: 7
OBL: 8
CP: 4
EP: 15
Total: 34
Parity: 7
Would anyone mind watching a few of my solves to give me some hints on improvement? If so, I would go ahead and do a video tomorrow. I currently average 40 seconds.

at least he has one good thing on his website. that 5x5 solution still haunts me...
