I know a guy at school who loves cubing as much as I do

He averages about 30 seconds and he is pretty good

The sad part is that his mom doesn't like him cubing

His mom won't let him buy eastsheen online

Last week I showed him my eastsheen set (2,4,5) and v-cube 7

He was so fascinated with my cubes

I kinda feel bad for him...:(

His mom is gonna kill him if I do that

because she hates her son cubing for some reason

I don't know why..

I would love to sell my cubes to him

I think she just doesn't want her son to get distraced from school..

Most likely. even more likely if you are Asian.

Lol thats not nice.

But it's true

(I'm asian too:p)

My dad's rule:

Support your grades and I'll support whatever crazy stuff you do.

I don't think it's totally because I'm Asian. I think it's more that my dad was poor as a kid and he worked really hard 'n stuffz, so he expects me to at least get the grades he got. I'm sure it was harder for him to manage straight A's than it is for me, since he was poorer and he had a harder life (and along with that a poorer education) than me as a kid. But then again, maybe it's partly because he's Asian o.0

Ya know... it just occurred to me that I really hate my username :/ Maybe I should get premium membership.

Why even more so if you were Asian?

Because it's a stereotype that Asian parents tend to push their kids harder academically than most. Not that I'm saying that all Asian parents do this, but I can say that I (along with lots of my Asian friends) have Asian parents that don't accept anything but A averages.

All the time I read about parents who don't want their kids cubing. Would someone please explain to me why parents have an issue with it?

I'm not exactly a kid anymore (just shy of 23), but my mum couldn't care less about cubing.
