2x2

Ron is using Guimond but the world record solve was something diffrent. The first layer was solved and the second layer had only two corners to orient, that was all. Clement Gallet, who was in the same competition, who also got a sub 3 from that scramble, told me this at the cube day.

Try this: R U' - R U' - R U' --- R' U - R' U - R' U

I don't think any of them knows that alg (it mess up edges on a 3x3x3 so it's a CF/2x2 special). If I had that scramble I would probably had done sub 2.

Edit: was not as easy as I thought, after some tries I had 2.49 with penalty (sub WR if wasn't) and a 2.99 that was OK.

BTW: R U' - R U' - R U2 --- R' U - R' U - R' U2 orients diagonal corners.

hmm... this only brings up a different question to me, do you think "3x3x3" or "3x3"? I've usually thought of it as "3x3x3" because it's obviously the demensions of a cube. but Rubik's packages say "3x3"

I dont know what to think anymore!

I have recently made a new method that is not on Erik's site. I would like to know if this method is already used or has a name and so on. Is there any sites other than Erik's one that describe 2x2 mthods ?
