I'm trying to learn the Fridrich system, but I don't know where to start. Should I memorize all the algs and then start using it, or should I slowly phase in some Fridrich algs into my current beginner method?

If you are currently doing a layer by layer method, where you get cross, then first layer corners, then second layer edges, then do a 1-4 look OLL and a 1-4 look PLL, then I would first recommend slowly learning how to match up corner and edge pairs. You don't need to learn the algorithms for this, although Macky's site could be useful.

First of All...
DON"T LEARN ALL ALGS!
oll takes forever u have 2 et used to it what i mean is that u must learn the alg by cube turning and applying it
go with the slowly phase one

I guess everyone learns all this differently.

I would probably do this:

-Learn to do cross on bottom and be comfortable with F2L - dont need to learn algs
-Learn PLL
-Learn OLL

Well i made a intuitve f2l tutorial about frid.. I tried to go throgh evry detail so watch it in the video section of the forum.

Yeah I suggest learning intuitive, and learning the algorithms after you are finished with OLL, PLL and maybe some other things.

Yeah definitely learn in this order
F2L
PLL
OLL

However rather than blindly learning all OLL, first learn the 2 step OLL, which uses 3 algs for orienting the top edges and 7 for the corners.

So, I guess the F2L is arguably the most important aspect of the Fridrich method, seeing as how my times have improved by a LOT, even though my algs are intuitive and far from optimum...

Thanks, all!

PLL is just as important to as you can do the PLL as fast as you can and not have to worry about what is coming up next. Infact the whole thing is important, but you can have a bad F2L, Bad OLL and 1 second PLL ;-\

For OLL you could learn the 2 algs to orient the edges (or 3 if you count no edges oriented) then the 7 algs to orient the corners.

Well in my opinion(although i'm still such a noob-35 secs pb) i think you should learn the algs by applying it on your cube as you learn(the PLL and OLL) and keep doing it until it becomes sort of like intuition.Your hands can do the alg naturally but since i use either petrus or roux(i need help deciding-petrus,roux or fridrich),there is less algs to learn so i can do that. But in your case there is more algs you need to learn so i'm not really sure the best way to memorize the algs
