Storebought cubies on C4Y cube?

Something REALLY weird happened... i put one of my overlubed storebought edges into my c4y diy and like... 10 seconds later i took it out because it didn't look good, but then i tried the c4y diy and it was INSTANTLY better.... it was sooo much smoother (i didn't lube it yet)... is this normal??

the storebought was lubed with vaseline, then with jigaloo then with valve oil (for trumpet)... I was bored, okay?? I know valve oil isn't good...

yes, it's normal that if you add lube to a cube, it gets better
